Jenny le Roux has always had a passion for fashion – a long line of stylish step-mothers saw to that. Her first foray into fashion was a 15 year stint as an Editor in the fashion department for the South African glossy mag, Fairlady. With Jane Raphaely at the helm, she was given carte blanche. Frustrated by the limited offering in the South African fashion market, she opened her own store in 1986, marking the birth of the Habits label. Which is a ready to wear range somewhere between chain store and a couture boutique.
2002 was a leap forward into the world of cyberspace, when Habits launched their own online shopping website. This has put Habits on the cutting edge of virtual fashion and is now a thriving part of the business. Habits has always supported the local industry. This allows them to maintain total creative control over production and quality of each garment. Only the finest fabrics are sourced locally and abroad.
Jenny is the proud ambassador for De Grendel wines and she is a member of the 36Boutiques Style Council.
Over the years Habits has won numerous fashion awards and showcased their new ranges on all major fashion shows around the country.
Habits was awarded the PRIX D'EXCELLENCE DE LA MODE award for BEST ONLINE RETAILER of 2010!
